Some Imaging & Radiology Locations Closed May 1

On Thursday, May 1, imaging and radiology services at the following UC San Diego Health locations will be closed because of strike activity.

  • 4th and Lewis Medical Offices (all imaging services)
  • Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion (CT, DEXA, fluoroscopy and ultrasound)
  • Moores Cancer Center (MRI)

All other imaging/radiology services and locations will remain open.

Imaging Services

Our specialized expertise, advanced equipment and team-based approach to care allow us to perform radiology services faster and with greater accuracy. This means your results are more likely to be right the first time and that you and your physicians can chart an appropriate treatment plan sooner with greater confidence.

Bone Density Testing (DEXA or DEX)
Brain Imaging We're one of only a handful of centers in the nation to offer functional brain imaging using magnetoencephalography (MEG).
Breast Imaging We offer comprehensive mammography and breast MRIs for screening and early cancer detection.
Computed Tomography (CT) We're the only facility in San Diego County to offer a 320-slice CT scanner, an ultra-fast, low-dose scanner that provides very high-resolution images.
Interventional Radiology Our interventional radiologists treat a range of conditions from a varicose vein to an enlarged prostate.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) We offer 3T MRIs, which provide twice the field strength of standard scanners, as well as MRI with ultra-short TE imaging to monitor early-stage arthritis and diagnose multiple sclerosis.
PET/SPEC & Nuclear Medicine We perform more than 34,000 exams a year and are a regional referral center for nuclear medicine.
Ultrasound We provide high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound.

A report describing your imaging results will be sent to your MyUCSDChart account automatically. If you do not have a MyUCSDChart account, if you need copies of the images themselves, or if you need to request past records, call 619-543-6586 for assistance.
